Intuition all the way

Do you know your intuition? You, know, that little voice that whispers all the time offering constant guidance.
Are you familiar with it?
I didn’t used to be. I always thought intuition was that feeling you have when you’re making huge life choices, but always leaves you with doubts and uncertainty. A bit of a know-it-all voice that rarely delivers results. I used to see it as a source of frustration rather than a guide to a safe haven.
I always liked to plan, to have everything under control. Making lists used to be one of my go-to activities. Knowing what was going on, having a sense of control and safety was a source of pleasure for me, at least until I realized I really had no control over anything at all!
If I wanted something, I would push for it, make plans, act according to the movies I had played in my mind, and prepare myself to reap the benefits. My mind was always on the go, anxious, fearful, stressed. I have to admit, this approach very rarely worked for me.
After pushing, planning and worrying, the frustration would set in, and my motivation would fly out the window along with my illusion of being happy. I’d feel inadequate, unworthy and completely depleted.
Why did this happen?
It happened because I kept ignoring the soft whisper of my intuition. I was allowing my mind to control the show instead of listening to the universe’s guidance. I was choosing to live in my mind instead of my heart.
The mind has a loud voice and it likes all the attention. If you’re not careful, it is very easy to lose track of your intuition. But when you quiet the mind and listen, you realize that voice is always there, no matter what.
Your intuition will talk to you when you’re making important life decisions, but it will also talk to you when you’re pondering leaving the house, when you choose a meal or when you have a conversation. Your intuition will speak to you all the time, the question is can you listen? All you need to do in order to listen is to quiet the mind and pay attention to what you feel.
It takes practice, but it’s worth it.
Here are a few steps to help you connect to that inner guidance:
1. Be aware of how you feel. All feelings are valid.
2. Take a deep breath and concentrate on the air entering and leaving your body.
3. Trust that your steps are being guided to where you need to go.
4. Feel the need to control leave your body and your mind and relax.
The voice of the universe is always speaking so all you have to do is listen to what it’s saying. if not immediately, shortly after you will feel a pull in your core to do something. Or a new though or idea will appear. Listen, feel it in your heart and if it resonates, follow it. If it feels right, if it feels liberating, even if it is a bit outside your comfort zone, follow it.
Your intuition is an amazing tool that you can use to navigate your life and move towards happiness and internal peace.
Give it a go! What is it saying right now?
