Now that we’ve learnt what the chakras are, we’ll learn their names, colours and main functions.
Are you ready? Let’s dive right in.
We cannot see the chakras with the naked eye, but they have specific locations in our physical bodies that can be felt or seen with the mind’s eye.
Although there are many more chakras, we will only talk about the main 7, as these are the more relevant for our learning at this point.
Crown Chakra
It’s located at the top of the head. The colour is Purple or Violet. It regulates our Spiritual connection and awareness.
3rd Eye Chakra
It’s located between the eyebrows. The colour is Indigo Blue. It regulates our trust in our inner knowing and intuition as well as awareness of our inner conversations.
Throat Chakra
It’s located at the throat. The colour is Light Blue. It’s connected to self-expression and communication and regulates our ability to speak our truth and be authentic.
Heart Chakra
It’s located at the centre of the chest right above the heart. The colour is Bright Green. It relates to unconditional love, acceptance, and trust in the universe. The Heart Chakra is the balance between the lower and the higher chakras, integrating the physical and spiritual aspects of our beings.
Solar Plexus
It’s located in the stomach area. The colour is Yellow. It Regulates self-worth and confidence, will power and personal boundaries.
Sacral Chakra
It’s located about 2 inches below the navel. The colour is Orange. It regulates our sexuality, creativity, and emotional balance.
Root Chakra
It’s located at the base of the spine. The colour is Red. It regulates our basic needs such as safety and survival. It relates to our ability to function in the material world and our relationship with money.
Each chakra relates to a different aspect of our existence, and if we learn to keep them balanced, they can help us maintain our beliefs and perspectives in check.
Take some time to sit quietly and see if you can sense these energy centres.
Feel free to share, I’d love to hear your experience.
